Vestec, Czech Republic - The Instruct-ERIC research infrastructure gathered on November 21-22 at BIOCEV to discuss the present and future of structural biology. Hosted by the Institute of Biotechnology (IBT), the meeting brought together leading European researchers providing access to cutting-edge technologies and methods in the field to explore the future directions and accents in the European landscape of infrastructures.
As a pan-European distributed research infrastructure, Instruct-ERIC is dedicated to making high-end structural biology technologies and methods accessible to researchers across Europe and worldwide. The meeting featured key discussions on enhancing service delivery, integration of techniques and technological innovations. The discussions were preceded by a notable lecture by Professor Harald Schwalbe, Instruct-ERIC director, on NMR contributions to understanding RNA conformational plasticity.
The meeting was welcomed by IBT director Professor Bohdan Schneider, highlighting the importance of large research infrastructures in the context of European and national collaborative research and their place in the IBT development strategy.
Attendees from @instructhub-CZ and @CIISBInstructCZ collaborated to chart a strategic path for supporting the structural biology community's evolving needs.
