Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R)

HR Award

On June 6, 2025, the Institute of Biotechnology of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IBT CAS) was awarded the prestigious HR Excellence in Research Award (HR Award). The institute has thus joined the community of research organizations that meet European standards in employee care and foster an environment that supports the development of scientific careers based on openness, transparency, and equal opportunities.

The award is granted by the European Commission to institutions that demonstrate long-term excellence in human resources management within the research sector. For IBT CAS, the HR Award is a recognition that its internal processes in recruitment, career development, and researcher support are aligned with the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.

At the same time, the award sends a strong message to both the Czech and international scientific communities: IBT CAS is an attractive, trustworthy, and responsible employer, providing a stable and high-quality environment for research work.
