Governor Petra Pecková and members of the Regional Council presented the 2025 Governor’s Awards. This traditional award recognises individuals who are closely connected to the Central Bohemian Region and contribute to its development. A total of 58 outstanding personalities from seven different areas of public life were nominated this year.
“The Central Bohemian Region stands on people who are willing to dedicate their time, energy and talent to others. The Governor’s Awards are an opportunity for us to thank these individuals and at the same time inspire others,” said Governor Petra Pecková.
Associate Professor Kateřina Komrsková from the Institute of Biotechnology of the Czech Academy of Sciences received the award in the Science and Research category. Her research and the technologies she is developing have the potential to contribute to addressing one of today’s major global challenges - infertility.
This recognition highlights the importance of research carried out at the Institute of Biotechnology of the Czech Academy of Sciences and its impact not only on the scientific community but also on society as a whole.
