Whistleblowing

The Institute of Biotechnology of the CAS, v. v. i. (hereinafter referred to as the "IBT"), in accordance with the relevant law and the EU Directive, is implementing an internal whistleblowing system that will enable IBT employees as whistleblowers to report violations of EU law, public interests or unlawful conduct within the IBT. At the same time, these rules introduce measures to protect such whistleblowers and set out the procedure and modalities for investigating and dealing with such reports.

Without his or her express consent the identity of the whistleblower will not be disclosed to anyone other than the so-called “designated person”. The designated person has been appointed by the Director of the IBT and is the only person allowed to read and, therefore, assess the reports.
