Protein Production Hands On Workshop 2026

Date: November 3-5, 2026

Venue: Institute of Biotechnology of the Czech Academy of Sciences at BIOCEV, Průmyslová 595, Vestec 252 50 

Aim:   This three-day course offers both foundational and practical training in recombinant protein production. Participants will gain hands-on experience across the entire workflow – from cell transformation, recombinant protein expression and purification to final sample concentration and purity validation.

Format: 

  • Primarily hands-on tutorials, complemented by short lectures

  • Participants will work in pairs to express and purify recombinant proteins

  • Lectures are open to external attendees upon prior consultation (due to seminar room capacity)

Maximum number of participants: 8 (not applicable for lectures)
