We report on a unique glass microfluidic Y-system with planar immunocapture channel working in so-called stop-flow dynamic regime.

We demonstrate that recombinant protein ligands can be designed for selective cell immunocapture using a biosensor.

Results can be further exploited in design of microfluidic devices for immunocapture of circulating tumor cells or other rare cell populations. Cell immunocapture microfluidic devices represent a rapidly developing field with many potential applications in medical diagnostics.
