The Department of Gene Expression and the qPCR and dPCR Core facility at the
Institute of Biotechnology of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IBT CAS) in Prague has acquired the
CellCelector single cell isolation system from ALS Automated Lab Solutions GmbH. The IBT CAS is a
leader in single cell gene expression and recently developed qPCR tomography to measure
intracellular expression profiles. The Institute team is also in the forefront of profiling
circulating tumor cells. “After careful evaluation of the various options available, we found that
ALS CellCelector best fits our needs and current high throughput single cell expression profiling
workflow”, says Vlasta Korenkova, head of the qPCR and dPCR core facility.
